AirLink USB-C Driver for Windows

To connect AirLink OS-enabled XR60, XR80 or XR90 routers to your PC running Windows 10 or 11, you need to install a USB driver from Microsoft:

  1. Download the driver package for Windows 8.1 and later from the Microsoft Update Catalog.
  2. Double-click the .CAB file package to view the compressed contents, and extract both files to a location on your drive.
  3. Open Device Manager (click the Windows Start button, type "Device" and select the Device Manager application).
  4. Expand the Ports (COM & LPT) section and note what numbered COM ports are shown. Another COM port will appear after you plug in the USB-C cable between the laptop and the XR series router.
  5. Plug in a data-capable USB-C cable between your Windows 11 computer and the XR router. (Note: Some USB-C cables are power-only, and will not work for a data exchange.)
  6. Check to see what new COM port has appeared.
  7. Right-click the new COM port and select Update Driver.
  8. Click Browse my computer for drivers.
  9. Click Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer.
  10. Click Have Disk… and browse to the location of the extracted RNDIS.INF file.
  11. Select the RNDIS.INF file and click Open.
  12. Once the driver is installed, reboot your computer to finalize the installation.
