The AirPrime WP710x-G (with variants WP7100-G, WP7102-G and WP7104-G) belong to the AirPrime WP Series of Embedded Modules and is an industrial grade LGA 303-pin soldered-down module. Its wireless LTE-based modem provides data connectivity on LTE, HSDPA and HSUPA, WCDMA, CDMA EV-DO Rev A, CDMA 1X RTT, EDGE and GPRS networks.
In addition to modem features, the AirPrime WP710x-G also embeds several cores for maximum flexibility and security for embedded software execution which includes a Telecom Core that natively manages 2G/3G/4G modem features, and an Application Core entirely dedicated to customer application, natively provided with Linux Operating System as a reference.
Both GPS and voice functionalities are also supported on the AirPrime WP710x-G.
This document describes the AirPrime AR and WP Series Development Kit and how integrates with the AirPrime AR and AirPrime WP710x-G (with variants WP7100-G, WP7102-G and WP7104-G) series of embedded modules, through a socket-up board equipped with a mechanical socket. It describes the different interfaces within the AirPrime AR and WP Series Development Kit and provides schematics to facilitate the user’s understanding and configuration of the development kit for their own use.
