1. New Features

This section lists the features added from the previous Firmware 7.44.

Optimized Auto-quadband: Improvement decreasing registration time (without impacting power consumption).

AT+WPOW: This command allows to speed up RF testing at manufacturing. A continuous signal is supplied from the MS with a constant power level on a given channel. So, a GSM tester is able to measure transmitted signal level.

USB Rebranding: Ability to set the USB PID/VID.

Embedded Debugging: Enables developers to speed up embedded software fine-tuning by managing application execution through suspend/resume, step-by-step, breakpoints and data watch capabilities in conjunction with Developer Studio. Please contact your sales representative to get an updated work-package with improved behavior.This feature is available in beta stage.

XM0110: Improvement offering the ability to manage AirPrime XM0110 GPS module through the I2C bus.

4. Interface Modifications

This section lists the interfaces that have been modified from the Firmware 7.44. Please refer to AT Command Interface Guide for Firmware 7.45.1 for more information about these commands.

API
AT+WPPP Command updated to input the following information relevant to CHAP authentication:
  • PDP Context Identifier (cid)
  • Username for CHAP or PAP (username)
  • Password for CHAP or PAP (password)
AT+WCER This proprietary command can be used to get notifications when critical hardware error occurs on the embedded module.
AT+WPOW This proprietary command can be used for production test purpose. The embedded module performs a single power measurement of the signal received or transmitted in a given channel using this command.
AT+WCPS New <type> introduced to configure the AHB clock settings. Default setting for 3G products has been changed to maximal.
AT+WHCNF New <type> introduced to configure the UART Rx FIFO Depth settings.
AT+WUSB This proprietary command can be used to select the device class of the USB and to update the device and configuration customization.
AT+WCFM Values 3, 4 and 5 of <mode> field have been deprecated.
ATI9 Some more details of the embedded module can be retrieved using this command. The following are the additional fields that can be retrieved using this command:
  • <MemoryType>: RAM or ROM
  • <MemorySize>: size of the <MemoryType> in bytes
  • <InfoTag>: Information tag. Current supported value is 'DWLNAME'
  • <InfoValue>: Information Value
AT+CMGR UDH data is now displayed in concatenated text SMS with hex character set display.
AT+WDM This proprietary command enables a user to lock a port into the development mode for debugging using Developer Studio.
AT+PACSP This AT&T proprietary command indicates to the user the Network Selection Menu availability (ENS support)(also called PLMN Mode bit in the AT&T specification).
AT$ARMEE This command is used to enable/disable $ARME ERROR unsolicited result code, returned as an indication of an error relating to the functionality of the UE.

Note: AT+PACSP & AT$ARMEE are available on R7.45.1 only. They are not available for AirPrime Q26Extreme.
