    How to import gateways from Inventory?

    • Go to Inventory > Gateways and click on Import.
    • Enter a CSV file for bulk system import in Airvantage. Download template here . For more information on how-to fill the csv file, please check below.
    • Click on Start.

    Import CSV file format for gateways

    You can format your bulk import file depending on your needs. The portal server uses the file header to interpret the different lines. Here are the fields that can be part of the CSV header with their meaning and use.

    The file format is a .csv file (coma separated text file). Both coma ‘,’ and semi colon ‘;’ are supported as separators.

    FIELD USE DESCRIPTION
    IMEI Mandatory for device families Raven, PinPoint & MP and for FX, GL, AR, Q, SL, WMP, & HL families only. IMEI or ESN of the Gateway to be created. If it is a GSM based device enter the IMEI, if it is a CDMA device enter the ESN (hex value - 8 characters). Can be retreived or scanned from the Gateway.
    MAC ADDRESS Optional MAC address of the gateway to be created.
    SERIAL NUMBER Mandatory for device families GX, ES or LS and for FX, GL, AR, Q, SL, WMP, & HL families only. Serial Number of the gateway to be created. The serial number begins with 2 letters and can be from 13 to 16 characters (skip the dash ‘-’ if there is one). Can be retreived or scanned from the Gateway.
    TYPE Optional Type of the gateway to be created. Can be values such as GX400, ES440 or FXT009 for AirLink gateways/modems or SL8080T, HL8548 for AirPrime modules.
    LABELS Optional One or more label(s) to be applied on the created gateway. For provinding several labels, use the pipe ‘|’ separator.
