    Configuring IPv6 Prefix Extension

    IPv6 Prefix Extension is a network feature that allows network administrators to better manage and utilize their IPv6 address space.
    To configure IPv6 Prefix Extension, go to Networking > General > WAN Services.

    The IPv6 Prefix Extension can be configured for both the Cellular interfaces and the primary WAN.

    Limitations

    • If you have enabled IPv4 Passthrough, then you cannot configure IPv6 Prefix Extension.

    Configuring IPv6 Prefix Extension

    To configure IPv6 Prefix Extension:

    1. Go to Networking > General > WAN Services.

    2. Click CREATE WAN SERVICE to create a new service, or at the end of a table row, click and select Edit.

    3. Configure the following fields for IPv6 Prefix Extension:

    IPV6 PREFIX MANAGEMENT - TYPE When set to Extension, an IPv6 prefix learned on the primary WAN interface can be re-used to assign a globally routable IPv6 address to the LAN clients connected to the router. Off Off,Extension
    IPV6 PREFIX MANAGEMENT - REVERT ON FAULT Allows you to revert the Prefix Extension to older values (i.e. values before enabling the Prefix Extension) so that it continues to work through other active WAN interfaces in the case of the cellular interface going inactive. Disabled Disabled,Enabled
    IPV6 PREFIX MANAGEMENT - EXTENSION LAN SEGMENT Extends the IPv6 prefix to the selected LAN segments Blank <List of LAN segments>
    IPV6 PREFIX MANAGEMENT - UNSOLICITED INCOMING Allow or Deny unsolicited incoming IPv6 packets Deny Allow,Deny
