    MGOS Gateway Upgrade Gives Config Sync Error

    When upgrading an MGOS gateway, it may fail and show the Next Update column on the Software Distribution page as Out of Sync. The Operations page will show the upgrade status as In Progress but with no errors.

    On the Software Distribution page, click on the Out of Sync link to view the configuration status. If it shows Config failure - config sync error, then the user needs to manually cancel the upgrade operation. Then Revert the configuration and try the upgrade again.

    To cancel the upgrade operation,

    1. Navigate to the Admin > Operations menu in the AMM.
    2. Change the filter to Group by gateway.
    3. Select the upgrade operation(s) that is stuck at In Progress.
    4. Click Cancel.
    5. Confirm that the Affected Workflow is correct.
    6. Click Submit to cancel the workflow.

    To revert the gateway configuration,

    1. Navigate to the Configuration > Deployment > Configuration Control menu in the AMM.
    2. Select the gateway that needs to be reverted.
    3. Click Revert.
    4. Confirm that the State changes from Pending to In Sync.

    Now try the upgrade again.
