AirLink Manager (AM)/AirLink Mobility Manager (AMM) 2.17.6 is a minor release of the AirLink Manager Platform. This release introduces the capability for users to seamlessly upgrade through the user interface (UI). AM/AMM 2.17.6 has undergone a comprehensive update, incorporating the latest technologies such as MySQL-8 and Spring Framework 2.7. These enhancements not only signify a commitment to providing a more accessible upgrade experience but also showcase the integration of the latest tools to ensure improved performance, security, and feature richness within the environment.
To continue to improve the security posture of the AM/AMM platform, new security patches have been integrated.
The AMM 2.17.6 release is generally available and ready for install.
AM/AMM 2.17.6 was released to General Availability on May 23rd, 2024.
AM/AMM 2.17.6 has been tested on Dell R250 and R650 servers and on VMWare ESXi 6 and later.
AMM 2.17.6 has been tested on Google Chrome, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge. Users that attempt to use a browser that is not supported will get a warning and may experience some issues.

AM/AMM 2.17.6 now has the ability to upgrade the system software through the user interface (UI). Upgrading through the UI offers a seamless and user-friendly experience, enhancing accessibility and convenience for individuals with varying levels of technical expertise. The UI provides an intuitive platform that guides you through the upgrade process, minimizing the likelihood of errors or complications. The UI also provides you with the flexibility to customize your upgrade preferences, ensuring that it is tailored to your needs.
To upgrade, you will need to contact Technical Support to receive the necessary software package and license key. To obtain a license key your AM/AMM system must be fully licensed under a valid AirLink Support contract. Please ensure your support is up-to-date prior to requesting the upgrade package. After uploading the software package into the system, you can start the upgrade wizard. The upgrade wizard will conduct an initial system check to ensure there are adequate resources available. Following the system check, you have the option to customize the system configuration. Next input the license key, and the upgrade process will begin.
Upgrading via the UI is possible only when the current system is at AM/AMM 2.17.5. Please contact Technical Support if your current system is not at AM/AMM 2.17.5 and you wish to upgrade.

This upgrade will take longer than a regular upgrade due to the database migration. There will be an extended system outage during the upgrade cycle. Please inform end users of the extended system outage.
