When generating a report, all report configurations contain the setting Save for later or schedule a run time which can be enabled to create and save reports for future use. Both local and remote users are able to schedule reports.
Note: reports scheduled for future generation can be viewed from the Reports->Report Templates menu. Generated reports can be accessed from the Reports->Generated Reports menu.
Enabling this setting provides the following sub options:
- Report Name: the name to assign to the saved report.
- Generate every: the frequency at which to generate the report. Selecting Do not generate disables generation. Selecting Once only generates the report one time.
- Start Reporting: specifies when to start generating the report.
- Stop Reporting (optional): specifies when to stop generating the report. Available only when Generate every is set to a frequency (i.e. day, week, etc.).
- Report Owner: only valid for local users. Specifies the name of the user to assign as the person who owns the report.
- Send generated reports to Report Owner: only valid for local users. When enabled, the report will be sent to the email address of the specified owner.
- Also email results to: only valid for local users. A comma delimited list of additional email addresses to send the report to.
- Email results to: only valid for remote users. A comma delimited list of additional email addresses to send the report to.
- Retain results for: the number of days to retain the report results.
