The Gateway Trips report plots the gateway location as a trail (continuous line) on the map (i.e. the route the vehicle traveled). This report is most useful for a single gateway over a relatively short period of time (e.g. one gateway trip) where the same location is not visited repeatedly.
Gateway Trips Report
The report’s map shows the gateway trips, represented by a colored trail
. The legend
shows that green lines identify speeds under 10 mph (Slow Speed value), yellow lines identify speeds between 10 and 80 mph and red lines identify speeds greater than 80 mph (Speed Error value) (10 and 80 are default values). Markers
identify start and end points as well as locations where the gateway stopped for an extended period of time.
The Stops Report data
shows the extended gateway stops, their locations, the distance to the stop and the duration of the stop.
The GPS Speed Report provides data where gateways in a Speed Error state. It shows the location of the error state, the top speed and the time spent in the error state:
Direction popup showing the speed and altitude of the gateway.
Note: the GPS Speed Report is only shown if a gateway has exceeded the speed defined for the Speed error configuration field (see configuration fields below).
Small, medium and large icons are used to indicate locations where the gateway stops. Angled triangles
are used to identify gateway direction. Red trails
are used to indicate locations where a speed threshold was exceeded. Start and stop markers
indicate the extent of the trip. Clicking on these map items shows an information window
about that location with options to obtain additional information. This report is most useful for a single gateway over a relatively short period of time (e.g. one gateway trip) where the same location is not visited repeatedly.
Enabling Pins
displays markers where the gateway was at every hour (on the hour). Click on a pin for a pop-up with the date/time information.
Enabling Directions
displays triangles to identify the gateway’s direction of travel at a location. Clicking the triangle displays a popup showing the gateway’s name, speed, and altitude at that location:
Note:
- The altitude display
requires AMM 2.16.2+ and MGOS software version 4.3+.
- For increased accuracy in the Gateway Trips report, ensure that ALEOS gateways are properly wired to the ignition and that a shutdown delay is configured on each gateway. For more information about the shutdown delay see the ALEOS software configuration guide.
If an attempt is made to run this report with more than 10 gateways, the following message will be displayed, at which point 10 or fewer gateways will need to be selected before attempting to run the report again:
Message indicating that too many gateways are selected for the report. Close the popup and ensure that 10 or less are selected.
