Configuring Zones

Zones are virtual groupings of interfaces or LAN segments. They allow administrators to monitor and configure network traffic in different ways. Currently zones are used in firewall rules, multi-WAN policies and networking monitoring rules.

SYSTEM ZONES are created by the system automatically and are not directly configurable.

You can create user ZONES in the ZONES table.

Configure a Zone

1. Go to Networking > Zones Settings > Zones.

2. Under the ZONES table, click CREATE.

   

3. Enter the name of the new zone.

4. Select the Interfaces to be used. More than one interface is allowed.

   

5. Click CREATE.
